《全球智库报告2019》发布
我院达历史最好排名第25位，入选环境政策智库第一方阵
2020年1月30日，国际极具权威性的全球智库评价报告——由美国宾夕法尼亚大学“智库研究项目”（TTCSP）研究编写的《全球智库报告2019》（2019 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report）在纽约、华盛顿、伦敦、巴黎等全球近150个城市盛大发布。该报告是由TTCSP智库研究项目主任詹姆斯麦甘（James G. McGann）博士领衔的团队连续第十四年为全球智库进行综合评价的权威报告。自2006年发布第一期《全球智库报告》以来，该报告建立了一套客观公正的智库评价体系，并逐年修改完善；通过对全球智库识别与追踪，并按照影响力大小进行排名，该报告为探索全球智库发展方向，引导各国智库更好为社会和政府服务提供了有力支撑。因此，TTCSP也被成为“智库中的智库”，其《全球智库报告》系列现已成为国际上最具影响力的智库排名报告。
《报告》显示，我国拥有智库数量507家，仅次于美国的1871家和印度的509家，位列全球第三位，在智库数量增加的同时，智库质量也逐步提高，中国智库的国际影响力和知名度正在稳步提升。
《报告》除了对全球智库进行综合影响力排名外，还根据研究领域和特殊成就两大类别列出系列榜单。在“环境政策研究”领域，在2019年入选的全球99家顶级智库中，我院位列全球百家智库第25位，为2012年我院入选该全球智库排名以来的最好成绩，在所有入选的中国环境类智库中排名居首。入选的其他中国智库包括：中国环境科学研究院（CRAES，37位）、思汇政策研究所（香港，47位）和中华环境保护基金会（CEPF，78位）。
此次智库评价报告发布和我院排名的持续上升，是对我院过去在环境决策智库发展成绩的肯定，也是对我们未来工作的巨大鞭策。我们要充分继续发挥我院的专业和人才优势，凝心尽力，团结奋进，编制好“十四五”生态环境保护规划，为打好打赢污染防治攻坚战、全面建成小康社会出谋划策，为2035年美丽中国建设以及全球环境治理提供中国智慧。
