Measuring China's Environmental  Industry

Based on the findings of a collaborative project on “Environmental Goods and Services Sector(EGSS) Accounting Framework” which is co-funded by the United Nations Environment Programme and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China, conducted by the Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning. The aim of the project is to find the feasibility of introduction EGSS into China. To answer this question, this report carried out a comparative analysis between the Chinese statistics of environmental industry and EGSS. Also, based on the findings, the report offered suggestions to promote application of EGSS in China.
