The Kick-off Meeting and Implementation Plan Review Conference for the National Key R&D Program "Multi-objective and Multi-pollutant Intelligent Collaborative Control Modeling System and Application" held in Beijing

On March 26, 2024, the kick-off meeting and implementation plan review conference for the National Key R&D Program project "Multi-objective and Multi-pollutant Intelligent Collaborative Control Modeling System and Application" undertaken by CAEP, was successfully held in Beijing. Over 50 representatives from project undertaking units such as CAEP, Beijing Normal University, Tsinghua University, the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, South China University of Technology, Nanjing University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, China Environmental Monitoring Station, Chongqing Academy of Environmental Sciences, and Beijing Qingchuang Meike Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.
Senior Researcher Lei Yu, the project leader, gave a detailed report on the background of the project, the overall implementation plan, key research tasks, project schedule, and implementation plan. The leaders of the five research topics respectively provided detailed reports on the research content and implementation plans of their topics. The attending experts unanimously agreed that conducting research on the multi-objective and multi-pollutant intelligent collaborative control modeling system and its application is of great significance for the comprehensive construction of a beautiful China and the collaborative governance of air pollution. The project has clear work objectives, well-defined scientific questions, rich research content, a reasonable technical route, and a feasible implementation plan. The tasks and responsibilities of each participating unit are clear, and the division of labor is reasonable. The experts at the meeting unanimously agreed to pass the project implementation plan review and offered constructive suggestions and recommendations for the project implementation.
Next, the project team will fully absorb the experts' suggestions. The project will focus on the development of integrated models and the study of control pathways, connecting existing special achievements and other ongoing special work, to provide scientific and technological support for the collaborative governance of air pollution in China.
