Spotlight on COP16 | "China Pavilion" Event II: “Biocultural Diversity and Territories:Protecting Mountain Food Systems and lP &LC Solutions to the Biodiversity and Climate” Side Event Successfully Held
On the afternoon of October 23, a side event titled "Biocultural Diversity and Territories:Protecting Mountain Food Systems and lP &LC Solutions to the Biodiversity and Climate" was successfully held at the China Pavilion in Cali, Colombia, during COP16. The event was jointly organized by the United Nations Environment Programme's International Ecosystem Management Partnership (UNEP-IEMP), the Farmers' Seed Network team, and nine other institutions.
Representatives from the Farmers' Seed Network, the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Global Environment Institute for Sustainable Development, the Shanshui Conservation Center, the China Green Carbon Foundation, the International Institute for Environment and Development, and the Andean Association of Peru contributed case studies from China, Peru, Canada, and Colombia from various dimensions, including community, research, and policy. The event attracted approximately 60 participants.
