Beautiful China in Action(Annual Report 2023) Released

 

CAEP (Research Institute for the Construction of Beautiful China), in collaboration with the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences and the Beijing Representative Office of the Environmental Defense Fund, with the participation and support of local ecological and environmental departments, has compiled Beautiful China in Action (Annual Report 2023)

The report systematically organizes the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Ecological and Environmental Protection Conference, and the strategic deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the construction of Beautiful China since 2023. It comprehensively summarizes the deployment requirements, main actions, and progress achievements of China in accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of development methods, deeply advancing environmental pollution control, strengthening the protection of the ecosystem, and actively and prudently promoting peak carbon and carbon neutrality in key areas in 2023. It also tracks and organizes the overall progress, advancement paths, and effective experiences of the construction practices of Beautiful China in various regions, and from the perspectives of environmental comprehensive management, green and low-carbon transformation, ecosystem and biodiversity protection, and pollution reduction and carbon reduction coordination, it selects and compiles some typical cases, introducing their main practices and effective experiences, providing reference and reference for relevant departments and localities to carry out innovative demonstrations.
