President Liu Jiongtian of Zhengzhou University visited CAEP

Liu Jiongtian,President of Zhengzhou University (ZZU), Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE),came to Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning (CAEP) for academic exchange. Wang Jinnan, President of CAEP ,Academician of CAE, participated in the exchange meeting, and welcomed the visit of President Liu Jiongtian. Research fellow Tian Rensheng and other relevant technical personnel participated in the exchange.

President Liu Jiongtian appreciated the continuous care and support from CAEP , and further introduced that ZZU is on the list of National “211 Project” of key construction universities, and of “One Province, One University” of National Key Support Construction Universities, as well as of co-construction universities by Henan Province and Ministry of Education. They are striving to build a world first-class comprehensive research-oriented university by the middle of this century. Liu hoped to take this exchange and discussion as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with CAEP at ecological environment research, and enhance the comprehensive strength of Zhengzhou University in the direction of ecological civilization.

President Wang Jinnan extended a warm welcome to the visit of president Liu Jiongtian, said that CAEP has always been based on serving ecological and environmental protection management decisions, actively promoting and implementing Xi Jinping's thoughts on ecological civilization, and constantly exploring local ecological civilization construction practices. Wang hoped that both sides could improve the cooperation platform, make precise efforts in joint personnel training, project cooperation, and joint academic conferences, and continue to explore new ideas for local ecological civilization construction and practice, and jointly promote the rise of central China green development.
