Vice President Yan Gang Invited to Give a Keynote Speech at China Environmental Technology Conference 2020

China Environmental Technology Conference 2020/CSES Annual Conference was held in Shanghai. With the theme of “Prospect of the 14th Five-Year Plan—Pursue High-quality Development of the Ecological Environment Industry with Technologies”, the conference analyzed and interpreted the environmental industry policies in the 14th FYP period, explored the direction of innovation in eco-environment technology and the industrial models, and sought for a global economic recovery and transformation under the current pandemic. More than 500 people from the environmental industry and research institutes attended the conference.

Invited to the conference, Yan Gang, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning, delivered a keynote report on the trends and future of eco-environment protection in the 14th FYP period. Based on the periodic research results of the Academy in eco-environment protection planning for that period, the report summarized the progress and achievements in eco-environment protection nationwide since the 13th FYP period, analyzed the main trends and challenges in the 14th FYP period from multiple perspectives, and shared some ideas and basic thoughts on eco-environment protection for that period. Yan’s speech attracted the attention and won the praise from the conference attendees.
